I suppose if you mean he's black & plays a Stratocaster. I hear very little resemblance in his very 80's-sounding music.
He's said Hendrix was an influence, and his appearance does echo Jimi with the hair and the posture.
I love Jon's music, of course I love the 80's as well.
I had the *extreme* pleasure of meeting Jon a couple years ago when he was playing in Hollywood. He was kind enough to sign *every* one of the discs I brought (which is everything he's released!) He couldn't believe I was such a big fan. Been lovin' his tracks since he put the first one out with The Axis.
